St John’s High School celebrates Krishna Janmashtami with fervour

KRISHNA Janmashtami and Dahi Handi programme was held at the local Yashbodh Gyan Prabodhini run by St John’s High School the other day.

The school organised a crown decoration and matka decoration competition for Dahi Handi, from KG to Class 2. A large number of students participated in the activities.

The students celebrated Gokulashtami by breaking Dahi Handi. Also, Gopakalla was distributed on this occasion.

All the teachers told the small students that the prasad of Kala means the love of Shri Krishna. Songs and dance were performed by the students on the occasion.

Principal Santosh Yadav and Vice-Principal Aarti Kurzhadkar wished the students by telling them the importance of Shri Krishna Janmashtami.

The programme was conducted by Kokila Nawade. Kanchan Srivas proposed a vote of thanks. All the teachers and non-teaching staff cooperated a lot for the success of the programme.
